Spiritual Formation & CounselingSpiritual Formation is a ministry of the Ashland Church of the Nazarene. We realize that our world is in need of soul care as many life issues arise and can cause one emotional, mental, spiritual, and even physical pain. We believe that Jesus Christ is the source of comfort in all our life circumstances and we support the ministry of the Holy Spirit working through others to help us in times of crisis. Spiritual formation in Christ is the process leading to a life where all of the essential parts of the human self are effectively organized around God, as they are restored and sustained by Him. The purpose and mission of this ministry is to focus mainly on restoration through pastoral counseling. Restoration in spiritual formation in Christ results in a love of God with all of the heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love of our neighbors as oneself. This can then effect our lives emotionally, mentally, and physically. There are pamphlets in the foyer of our church to assist you, as well as links for books, outside web-pages, and local community agencies listed below. Appointments with the Senior Pastor can be made for pastoral care by calling our church.
